Extreme Temperature Diary-October 25th, 2019/Main Topic: California Continues To Burn In October

Friday October 25th… Dear Diary. The main purpose of this ongoing blog will be to track United States extreme or record temperatures related to climate change. Any reports I see of ETs will be listed below at the very end of this daily blog. I’ll refer to extreme or record temperatures as ETs (not extraterrestrials).😉

Main Topic: California Continues To Burn In October

Its seems like every fall and just about every, expanding due to climate change, fire season I’m doing a weekly blog on California’s wildfires. The synoptic pattern through this weekend looks very bad with watches and warnings up for dry Santa Ana winds in Southern California and strong winds forecast around the San Francisco area. As I’ve done before, my go to person for all things west Is Dr. Daniel Swaim, so many social messages will be presented from this expert today.

Now here are some selected messages on California conflagrations as of this Friday. As usual, look for more current notes at the top of this post’s page:

We are all hoping that the situation in California doesn’t become more dire over the weekend. If it does I will extend this post.

Here is more climate and weather news from Friday:

(As usual, this will be a fluid post in which more information gets added during the day as it crosses my radar, crediting all who have put it on-line. Items will be archived on this site for posterity. In most instances click on the pictures of each tweet to see each article.)
